CED is looking for Credit Management Interns. CED is one of the nation’s largest wholesale electrical and solar equipment distributors with opportunities nation-wide. Students filling this position will gain a broad, yet informative overview of the day to day and big picture operations of the credit function of CED. You will work closely with the Division Credit Manager on a daily basis, and communicate with your Regional Credit Manager about progress and overall experience with the program.

Responsibilities
Learn CED’s Credit policies and practices
Research and approve new customer accounts
Generate monthly and quarterly reports
Develop a special project throughout the semester
Assist in monthly lien notices and bond claims
Run credit reports on prospective customers
Contact customers concerning collection of past due balances
Assist with posting payments from customers
Become familiar with our Profit Centers
Hold progress and performance meetings with your Division Credit Manager
Update and maintain customer accounts
Opportunities for travel may arise throughout the internship
Qualifications
Applicants should be Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business majors with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and an analytical mind are all essential to this position.
During my internship, I was exposed to every level of management within CED, had the opportunity to meet and understand the goals of CED’s customers, and make a real and tangible contribution. That experience stuck with me, and helped me realize CED was the type of company I wanted to build a career with.
